Thoughts and Prayers for…

Ethel Himes as she is recovering from Surgery! What a trooper she is – she says it was the surgeon,
but I think it is the DeBoer in her! She looks great and has a great attitude!

WELCOME HOME TO THE WASHBURN FAMILY!
The Washburn Family has decided to join us back on Kabetogama and
we are happy to welcome them back. At least the drive from Littlefork wasn’t too stressful!
Welcome them back when you see them around!

A Special Thanks…
To all the wonderful volunteers in these communities. The Kabetogama EMS and
Voyageurs National Park held a Double Mock Boat Accident Drill on July 21st on
Blue Heron Campsite and on LaBonty’s Point in conjunction with the Coast Guard.
Gary and Joanne, Ron, Sande and David all did a wonderful job volunteering as patients and were great sports
in the transport across the water on a backboard, neck collar, etc. We a fabulous turnout of Medical, Park and
Coast Guard personnel and were so impressed with how the entire situation was handled.
I hope we never have to do this for real – but let me tell you – we are so lucky to have the people
we have in these communities to help if we, our friends, our family or our guests need help.
Please do not ever hesitate to call 9-1-1, you have wonderful support at your fingertips!!
